Description

Radius Hawthorne is located on a quiet, tree-lined cul-de-sac bordering the Christchurch suburbs of Fendalton and Ilam. Our refurbished hospital and dementia care facility provides ‘round-the-clock care for those who can no longer manage entirely on their own.

Residents requiring hospital-level care are accommodated across two wings, with a number of the rooms having an ensuite and kitchenette. Sunlight streams through the large windows and doors, allowing plenty of natural light and access to our beautifully landscaped, award-winning gardens. We also have two secure dementia wings, each with a protected garden area, furniture and shades. For peace of mind, CCTV has been installed in this area.

At Radius Hawthorne our aim is to make life as fulfilling as possible for each individual resident. We encourage our residents to remain active, helping them pursue their hobbies and passions, while also providing some of life’s little luxuries. When you choose to make Hawthorne your home, we’ll make your complete wellbeing a priority—that’s why we offer more than just medical care.

Facility Reviews

Any concerns we had with dad were handled well by nurse management. Carers made an effort to interact with dad and this kept his spirits up. During dad's passing staff could not have been more helpful and caring towards us his family. We appreciated this immensely. While no care home is perfect, we found Brunner wing a safe, attentive facility with staff who really seemed to care.
